WHY CHOOSE KOKESH PLUMBING?

Ellisville’s neighborhoods along Clarkson Road, Kiefer Creek Road, and the residential streets off Manchester Road hold homes that were built well, but many are now at 30 to 50 years of age, which is when plumbing systems start requiring real attention. Water heaters approach the end of their manufacturer-expected lifespan, original valves begin to fail, and drain systems that have served a home since the 1970s or 80s start showing signs of wear. When something goes wrong, you want an honest assessment. not a contractor who walks in looking for the most profitable problem. Kokesh Plumbing gives you a straight diagnosis, a clear explanation, and a recommendation based on what the job actually requires. You’ll speak with a licensed plumber from the first call to the last. Call 636-391-1233.
PLUMBING SERVICES
Ellisville, MO
Ellisville’s history reaches back to the early 1800s, when Captain James Harvey Ferris of Kentucky settled the land southwest of what is now Manchester Road and Kiefer Creek Road, building his home from bricks made on the property. The name “Ellisville” traces to William Hereford, who purchased the land around 1842 and named it after his former post office in Ellisville, Virginia. The first post office opened here on May 2, 1843. Incorporated as a village in 1932 and as a city in 1957, Ellisville is centered today at the intersection of Manchester Road and Clarkson Road, with additional residential streets extending along Kiefer Creek Road, Hutchinson Road, and Old State Road. Much of the housing stock was built from the 1970s through early 2000s, with some pockets of newer development. In 2009, Money magazine ranked Ellisville among the top 25 Best Places to Live in America which was a direct reflection of the community’s combination of strong schools in the Rockwood School District, well-maintained parks, and beautiful neighborhoods. Kokesh Plumbing proudly serves homeowners and businesses throughout Ellisville, providing expert plumbing services for everything from routine repairs to full plumbing emergencies.

What plumbing issues are most common in Ellisville homes?
Most of Ellisville’s residential neighborhoods were built between the 1970s and early 2000s. Common issues include water heaters reaching the end of their lifespan (typically 8–12 years), sump pump failures, pressure-reducing valve wear, and drain line buildup in homes that haven’t had a professional cleaning in several years.
Is Kokesh Plumbing licensed and insured in Missouri?
Yes. All Kokesh plumbers are union-trained and fully licensed and insured for residential and commercial plumbing throughout Missouri.
We have a finished basement in our Ellisville home. What should we know about sump pump maintenance?
Finished basements raise the stakes considerably on sump pump failure becuse water damage to a finished space is expensive. We recommend annual inspection of the pump, float switch, and discharge line, and most homeowners in this area benefit from a battery backup unit as a secondary system. We can assess your current setup and tell you honestly what level of protection makes sense.
Our Ellisville home is on Kiefer Creek Road near the creek bottom. Are there specific plumbing concerns?
Properties near creek drainage areas in Ellisville can experience higher groundwater pressure during heavy rain events, which increases sump pump demand and can stress older drain systems. If you’re noticing wet crawl spaces, sump pump running constantly, or slow drains during storms, it’s worth having someone take a look.
