WHY CHOOSE KOKESH PLUMBING?
Reliable & Trustworthy Plumbing Service
Kokesh Plumbing has been serving St. Louis County homeowners for over 130 years, and in a community like Clayton, that depth of experience matters. As a family-owned, union-trained plumbing company, we bring the same care and professional standards to a minor fixture repair in a DeMun bungalow as we do to a full kitchen remodel in a downtown condo. We are certified installers for Toto, Moen, and Delta — premium fixture brands common in Clayton’s upscale renovation market — and our technicians are trained to work in older and historic homes without compromising the character of the property. Whether you need 24/7 emergency service or a planned renovation, you’ll always speak with an experienced plumber, not a call center.

Clayton, MO
Clayton occupies a unique place in the St. Louis metro. It is simultaneously the county seat of St. Louis County, one of the most prestigious business addresses in the region, and one of St. Louis’ most architecturally distinguished residential communities, all packed into just under seven square miles. The city traces its origins to 1877, when St. Louis County needed a new courthouse after the city of St. Louis separated from the county in 1876. The land was donated by two Virginia-born farmers, Martin Hanley and Ralph Clayton, the latter giving his name to what would eventually become one of Missouri’s most sought-after neighborhoods. Clayton incorporated in 1913, and from that point on grew steadily into the walkable, architecturally layered community it is today.
Drive through the neighborhoods along Wydown Boulevard (named one of the Great Streets in America by the American Planning Association) or through historic districts like Carrswold, Brentmoor Park, and DeMun, and you’ll find a remarkable mix of pre-war brick homes, 1920s Tudor and Georgian architecture, mid-century apartment buildings, and newer high-rise condominiums all surrounding Clayton’s active downtown business district. The historic Hanley House, built in 1855 and now a museum, remains the oldest standing structure in the city and a tangible reminder of this neighborhood’s history. Shaw Park and Oak Knoll Park round out a city that takes its green space as seriously as its architecture. Kokesh Plumbing is proud to continue serving the homes and businesses of this exceptional community.
